Wicked Bite

Book Review of Wicked Bite (Realm Enforcers Series)

Title: Wicked Bite

Series: Realm Enforcers Series

Author: Rebecca Zanetti

Date Published: August 1st 2017

Date Read:  July 24, 2017

The Blurb:

As she hunts for a drug lord killing her fellow witches, all Tessa Lansa’s instincts point to the Grizzly motorcycle club. That might be because their leader, Bear, is the strong, silent shifter type: warm brown eyes and more muscle and alpha male than any woman can ignore. Which makes Tessa’s plan to seduce and betray him all the more dangerous . . .

Bear doesn’t trust the curvy, blue-eyed witch. But Tessa can heal the injuries that sap his strength. And since he can’t stop thinking of her lush body and teasing smile, her plan to mate him to reclaim her own power is highly tempting. Just one problem. Once a desire this wild is loose, no one will ever control it . .

5 Her Bear Stars

                  May have mild spoilers

"We use applications of quantum physics, string theory, Brunt's theory, and-" Her gaze narrowed. "Don't look Bored." "I'm not," he said quickly. Then he frowned. "Forget that. I am bored. Get to it."-Nessa and Bear

Yay Bear's story! God I have loved me some big ol' grumpy Bear. I was so excited to finally get Bear's book and I loved every single minute of this read! Rebecca Zanetti is one of my top 5 favorite authors and she never fails me. I have loved every one of her books(that I have read) and I can't get enough of the Realm. Whether it's the Witches, Demons, Shifters, or the yummy Vampires(my favorites) I can't get enough of this world. So anytime I get to set aside the troubles of everyday life and dive back into this world and lose myself that is a great day for me.

"You wanna make a deal?" She nodded, her shoulders going back. "Yes." To live, he'd do almost anything. "What do you want?" She met his gaze, her eyes deadly serious. "If I heal you, then we mate. For life." -Bear and Nessa

"Baby? You wanna fuck, bite, brand, and mate....but not bond. Do I have it right?-Bear

Bear was amazing! He was smart, sexy, protective and bad ass. This grumpy, antisocial loner bear had a lot of depth to him. He felt deeply. He was hurt in the past and didn't feel like he fit in anyone's world, so he made his own MC family. Raw and animalistic he was everything I could want in a shifter. Nessa was way more than met the eye. She came off all prim and a little snobby, but she could kick major ass! Nessa was very sweet and she was loyal to her few loved ones. Being a witch Nessa was keeping secrets and could be a master manipulator when the situation called for it. Brave and smart Nessa was the perfect mate for our Alpha bear.

"I'm claiming you, Nessa. Right here. Right now." She may have gurgled. He slapped her clit. Her head jerked, and hunger flared hotter. "What are you, Nessa?" he demanded, his hold absolute. She opened her eyes. This was beyond what she'd wanted. But here they were. "Claimed," she whispered-Bear and Nessa

"Nessa?" Simone asked softly. Nessa looked toward her new sister-in-law. "Yes?" "If you hurt him, really hurt him, I'll gut you before I burn you to a smoldering pile of screaming ash." Nessa grinned. "Your imagery is impressive." "Aye. So is my ability to gut people and throw fire,"-Simone and Nessa

Nessa and Bear together were wild. Nessa brought out the animal in him. She challenged him and pushed him to give her his all. Bear was so gruff antisocial, so when he fell hard for his little witch I totally melted! Wicked Bite was an action packed thrill ride filled with awesome cameo appearances from some of my Realm favorites. I got me some Dage and Emma, Garrett(mini Talen) and Logan time. I so love Garrett and I long for his book. There was no Talen which made me a bit sad. OMG the bad guy I didn't see that one coming at all! I was totally shocked. Overall I truly just enjoyed this book so much. Not to get too personal but I have a family member that is dying, and I haven't read anything in about a week. It was so nice to let this book take me away from the pain and sadness for a few hours. It made me laugh and smile and I am so grateful for the escape.

"Your uncle knows I'm here?" Garrett shrugged. "He's the king. Dage pretty much knows everything, and he really hates it when people seem surprised by that." Logan snorted. "Isn't that the truth?"-Nessa, Garrett, and Logan

Date Read:  July 14, 2017

And there’s no denying his passionate caresses, as she falls deeper under the spell of a husband determined to claim her heart.

My Review

4.5 Reunited Stars

I was so excited to get Josie's story from Netgalley. Having read all the other books in this series and seeing the Wentworth family slowly get their HEA I couldn't wait to see how Josie's story played out. I wasn't disappointed. Blackthorne's Bride was my favorite book in the series. I'm sad that this will be the last of the series. I want to know what happens to the children. The children would make a great spin off series, and let us catch up with the parents...Hint! Hint!

Josie was great. She was brave, smart, and caring. Marcus was kind, protective, and sexy. He had some abandonment issues and just wanted to be loved. Josie and Marcus were great together. They had a strong connection. I loved getting to catch up with Miranda, Hannah, and Hetty. I also really liked Marcus's sister Lark. On the other hand I couldn't stand Marcus's first wife, and I thought his best friend was a crappy friend. This book was lower on the action, and angst, and more about the romance and a sweet family reuniting after years of being separated. I loved everything about this book. The only reason it's not a full 5 stars is because I felt the ending was rushed and I would have liked a little more of an epilogue.

My Review

4.5 Finding her way home Stars

*May Have Mild Spoilers*

Tempting Fate, the 4th book in the Colorado High Country Series, was great. I have been wanting Chaska's book since book 1. If you go back to my reviews of the other 3 books in this series you will see I was like I can't wait for Chaska's book in each one lol. To say I was excited to see Tempting Fate on Netgalley would be an understatement. I was over the moon. And that cover.... OMFG that cover is drool worthy. That cover deserves a standing ovation!

Chaska was everything I wanted and more. He was sexy, smart, and brave. He helped others, was respectful, and was just all around panty melting yummy. He has a calmness to him that was very peaceful, but he could be fun too. I loved how much family and helping others meant to him. Chaska was just an all around great guy. I fell in love with Chaska in book 1 and my love for him grew with every book. Naomi was a fighter. She had a hard life and no one to support her but she fought to make a living for herself. I thought it was so cool that Naomi made jewelry. Naomi had some major insecurities about her self worth, her sexuality, and her talent. Naomi was sweet, talented and honest. She had a love and respect for wild life. From start to finish I felt Naomi really grew in this book.

Chaska and Naomi were very sweet together. They had a lot in common and got along well. I loved that Chaska showed Naomi that it was okay to enjoy sex. That sex with someone that respects and cares for you can be a beautiful thing. I loved the build up of their relationship. I had a good laugh at the jalapeno incident. Chaska was so sweet and supportive of Naomi. Chaska wasn't the only one that was supportive of Naomi, the whole town came together to support her. I loved the friendship between Naomi and Winona. I would love for Winona to get a book.....hint....hint! I loved the Lakota aspect of this book. Being part Cherokee I love reading about the Native American heritage in any book. Especially when it's shown in a well researched and respectful way. I also loved getting to see the Rocky Mountain Search & Rescue gang and the past couples again. The HEA was awesome and very sweet. I would like to know if Naomi and her mom are going to have a relationship in the future though. Tempting Fate was a sweet, easygoing and entertaining read. I enjoyed every minute of it and I can't wait for the next book!

My Review

4 One and Done Stars

I enjoyed Resilient a little more than I enjoyed the last book. I really loved Tank. He was so yummy and totally bad ass. I liked Nicole but she got on my nerves at times. I understood were she was coming from and why she didn't like bikers but she was too judgy at times. I did really like Tank and Nicole together. I felt that Tank handled Nicole well. He was good to her and treated her well but didn't take her crap. I really didn't like the way Jessica acted to Nicole. I felt she was kinda over the top but being a bride I got she was being the stereotypical bridezilla so I overlooked it. I really loved Brittany and Stitch. They made the book for me so, Gillian Archer ripped my heart out when she did something I never seen coming.  I still feel like I'm kinda in shock over Britt and Stitch. Overall I really enjoyed Tank and Nicole's book. I am looking forward to more books by Gillian Archer.

My Review

2 Didn't work for me stars

*Spoilers*

Seduced by the tide is the first book I have read by Sean Michael and it really didn't work for me. I was in the mood for some fated mate, M/M shifter love, but there was no meat to this story. It was all sex. Now don't get me wrong I enjoy smut as much as the next woman but the key to good smut is length. We readers all know smut is low on plot and character development, but hot on smexy time, so 100 pages or less works best for me otherwise it gets repetitive and I get bored. That is what happened in this book. It was too long to be smut but it didn't have enough plot, character, and relationship development. It was just sex, sex, bj, handy, bj, sex, steak, cupcake, sex, bj, kinky sex, bacon, handy, sex, and more sex. That is the whole book right there! Had this book been only 50 or so pages I would have rated it higher, but I got bored with this book. The sex got tedious and I found myself skimming the sex which was 90% percent of the book. The other thing that didn't work for me was the things Deke would call Bryan. Baby boy, Pretty baby, Sexy baby boy, Sweet baby and 100 other forms of baby this or that. Normally the pet name baby doesn't bother me but the baby boy just bugged me. And if it wasn't baby it was honey. There were so many sugary pet names that it got kinda cheesy. This book just didn't work for me. Sometimes authors and readers just don't rub together well and that is the case with this book. The writing style was fine and all I just didn't click with this book.

My Review

4.5 Sexy Charming Gavin Stars

Let me start this review by saying that cover is so much yummy eye candy! Thumbs up to whoever picked this cover it's the best lol! Just sayin'! I loved Gavin back when I read his big brother, Landon's book, A Sure Thing. Gavin was just so goofy and playful that I was drawn to him. So when I seen his book on Netgalley I was so excited for him to get his HEA. Gavin was everything I had hoped for. I smiled a lot while reading this book. Gavin was so funny, charming, and omg sexy. I just loved him to pieces. The things that would come out of Gavin's mouth lol he was just so goofy! Zoe was sassy, bossy, and so serious. It was fun watching her loosen up with Gavin and get playful. I loved that Zoe was so open and outspoken. I thought Zoe and Gavin made a cute couple. They had such great chemistry together in and out of the bedroom. This book touches on some serious issues like loss, PTSD, and survivor guilt. Reading about the pain Gavin, and at times Zoe, was dealing with really pulled on my heartstrings but, for the most part this book just really made me smile and laugh. I enjoyed getting to see the whole Donnigan family again. They are just so loving, supportive, and fun. Ava and Landon are still happy and cute and I loved getting to check in on them. I can't wait for Gavin's sister Hope to get a book! I am seeing a tattooed yummy in her future!
