My Review

4.5 Logan's Pioneer Princess Stars

Wow this was my first book by Rosanne Bittner and I really loved it. How the hell have I never heard of Rosanne Bittner before? I truly can't believe this is was the first time reading RB. I'm always looking for good Western Historical Romance authors, and God knows they are few and far between. I'm so glad I seen this book on Netgalley, and gave it a try. You can bet I'm gonna go back and read other books by RB. Logan's Lady was a wild west ride with lots of action, strong women, hard working men, and one hell of a sexy cowboy.

Logan was so delicious. He had the super sad troubled past, and the scarred soul that would make any woman want to heal his wounds. He was rugged, brave, and a protector of women and children. Top that off with his alpha ways, his kick ass gun skills, and cowboy charms, and you have one panty melting cowboy. His past was ugly, and my heart broke for him, but I love how he handled his pain. Hunting down bad guys more dead than alive! Elizabeth was very naive, a rich Lady from England with big dreams of freedom in America. Though she was book smart, strong willed and brave she had a lot to learn about the real world. She lost so much on her trek to America, but she grew so much in this book. I loved that she was honest and spoke her mind and I really liked that she didn't play silly games. Logan and Elizabeth were total opposites, but they complemented each other well. Their relationship was a slow burn, but when it happened was worth the wait.

I loved that this book had a lot of meat. There was plenty of character development and I got good sense of who Logan and Elizabeth were, and I connected with them. I loved them together and once Logan fell in love with Elizabeth he was all in. This book kept me glued to it. Never was I bored. This book didn't paint a cute easy picture of life in early America. The love that the story touched on the ugly and evil that happened, the lawlessness that hurt many people. This book really worked for me. The only reason it's a 4.5 stars and not 5 for me was it took to long for the hero and heroine to meet(over 30% on kindle) and I wanted that sooner. Still a great book and I can't wait to read more from this author. I am hoping she writes more in this world maybe we can get to see how Logan and Elizabeth are doing setting down.

4.5 yummy firefighter Stars

I love Claudia Connor and I love her books. After reading Worth the Risk, I wanted Hannah Walker's four yummy brothers to each get books. Then Worth the Wait came out(Nick's Book) and I was so excited to read it, until I read it. It was a total disappointment to me. So when I seen Zach's book on Netgalley I was a bit leery to get it. I love Claudia Connor's books so much I figured Nick's book was just a fluke and decided to give Zach a try. I was right Waiting for you was such a good read. I just loved it so hard.

Zach was everything I ever loved in a Claudia Connor hero. He was sexy, strong, sweet, caring, loyal and had just enough of a damaged soul that he made you want to kiss it and make it better. Nora also had some issues from her past, but she was smart, capable and very likable. Zach and Nora was very sweet together, but Zach and Nora's son Will melted my heart. I was really glad there wasn't a ton of drama in this book. Overall I loved it and I can't wait the read Luke's book.

3 Abandonment Issues Stars

May Have Mild Spoilers

OK I'm gonna be honest here and I'm gonna try not to spoil anything while letting you know why this book was just alright for me. After reading Cowboy, Cross My Heart I was really looking forward to Caleb's book. I hate to say it, but the book didn't live up to my expectations. No not the book really, it was Caleb and Audrey relationship that didn't work for me. I actually liked the plot which is why I gave this book 3 stars instead of less. Those stars were for the plot and catching up with Naomi and Brice. So let me lay out what didn't work for me with Caleb and Audrey's love.

1. They had an unrealistic insta-love. They fell in love in like 2 days, however it didn't feel like love to me. It just felt forced.

2. I got really annoyed at the amount of days both Caleb and Audrey let go between talking to each other. Let me give a few examples. After they sleep together, they have a bit of a fight, and kinda make up(I'm trying not to give away spoilers). Then there is an misunderstanding, and instead of Caleb going after her he waits days. Days! Letting her sit there in pain thinking all kinds "he don't want me" thoughts. Then when he does finally come to her and tells her he wants her, she does the same damn thing. As the days past, I found myself getting more and more pissed off. They both just acted like cowards. That's my second biggest pet peeve in books next to cheating. If they would have only waited once, or for one day I would have been able to understand it, but it was too much too long.

3. They spent more time apart or fighting their feels than together. They maybe spent a total of 24 hours actually being together the rest of the time it was drama and fear. So after such little time I don't get how they fell in love at all.

4. lastly I didn't buy how quickly Caleb got over his mommy issues. Which was one of the reasons he feared letting Audrey into his heart.

Still I liked the plot. I really liked Maddy, Audrey's sister. I liked both Caleb and Audrey as individuals just didn't feel their relationship, which bummed me out. My heart broke for Brice and Naomi. I need them to get some good news in the next book. Overall this was an okay read for me. Donna Grant is a great writer, but this book just had a pet peeve that drove me nuts, so even though I didn't like it as much as the other I will read more from Donna Grant.
