Book Review of The Whole Package (Movin' On Series)

Title:The Whole Package

Series: Movin' On Series

Author: Marie Harte

Date Published:  January 29 th 2019

Date Read: January 31, 2019

The Blurb:

Always the caretaker, former Marine Reid Griffith wants to help his brother adjust to civilian life...and help other former servicemen. What better way to utilize their brawn, discipline, and charm than a moving company that hires veterans? But although Reid prides himself on being strategic, he certainly doesn't plan to fall in the spotlight of one brilliant―and beautiful―PR whiz...

PR expert Naomi Starr is determined to bring Vets on the Go! into the spotlight. But when she meets Reid, it might mean breaking her rule to never mix business with pleasure. Especially once she discovers that underneath Reid's sexy rough-and-tumble exterior is a vulnerable man who just might need what she's got to give.

My Review

The whole package by Marie Harte was a cute read. The hero Reid Griffith was everything I love in a hero. He was smart, sweet, supportive, loyal, and a sexy former Marine. Anyone who knows me knows I have a thing for Military men. Reid was so yummy, cool under pressure, protective and totally kicked ass. God but I wanted to eat him up! Naomi Starr was great too but there were times were I just didn't understand why she acted, said or thought the things she did. I got really annoyed with the way she handled things with her ex Tanner. Still I did really like her. I thought she was smart, sweet, outspoken, and driven in her business.

Naomi and Reid had a great relationship and the smexy time in this book was smoking! Of course it helps that Reid was a sexy beast. I loved the brother relationship between Reid and Cash they reminded me of Landon and Gavin Donnigan from The Donnigans Series. I loved some Landon and Gavin when I read their books. Gavin was my favorite, so when Gavin made an appearance in this book I was so happy. My heart broke for Cash and to be honest I really wish I had his book because I want to see what's up with him and Jordan like right now. Overall a great read and I can't wait to get Cash's book!

My Review

4.5 Mondays Stars

The Outlaw's Mail Order Bride was my first time reading Linda Broday and I loved it. Linda Broday has been on my TBR list for a while now and I can't believe I waited so long to read one of her books. This book has some of my favorites in it. You got the mail order bride, the reformed bad boy, cute children, and the villains got their comeuppances! When it comes to historical romance early American Western historical is my favorite. It is also the one genre that is hard to find good authors in. Well I am happy to say I just found another. Linda Broday will be another go to when it come to Western historical romances.

Clay was such a good guy. Don't get me wrong he wasn't perfect, but that made him a better hero in my book. Also he had no problem saying sorry. I love when a man can admit to being wrong. I loved how he didn't bat a eye about taking in a little blind girl and making her his daughter. Clay was supportive, sweet, and understanding. He worked so hard to make a good life for his fellow reformed outlaws, his wife, daughter and himself. I totally fell in love with Clay. Tally was equally amazing. I love strong brave heroines and Tally was all that and more. Tally had such spirit. My heart broke for the things she lived through. She had fear and a good reason to be fearful but she fought with everything she had. She also went out of her way to help others. She was the perfect wife for Clay.

Clay and Tally's relationship felt strong and real. The reason for this is because the author did a great job of really building up their connection. There was tons of character and relationship development. And not just with the main couple. The secondary characters were amazing too. I became attached to the other ex outlaws, I fell in love with Dr Mary, and I even had a soft spot for Rebel. On top of great character build up there was a great plot too. I loved that I felt like I was transformed back to the wild west. I loved that the bad guys really got what they deserved and I loved that I got so invested in the characters that I can't wait to read each of their HEA. This was a great find and I'm so glad I read it!

It’s all fake fun and games and a few orgasms until Landon’s ex comes back to town.

My Review

June Kisses was a cute quick read. This was my first read in the series and I had no problem so it can be read as a standalone. It was a sweet friends to lovers read with one sexy as hell cop. Landon was so yummy. He totally made the book for me. Sunnie I liked but I didn't like how scared she was to be in a relationship. Sunnie and Landon had some really cute moments together. I laughed and smiled a lot while reading this book. I don't think I have read any books from Mari Carr before but I know I will again. I did wish the book was a little bit longer but still it was a sweet read.

My Review

4 Logan's Fairy Stars

Anyone that knows me or reads my reviews knows I love Rebecca Zanetti! Like a crazy fan girl love. Dark Protector series is my all time favorite paranormal romance and I was over the moon when Rebecca started writing books in the Dark Protector series again. When I got on Netgalley and seen Logan's book, I lost it. I love me some Logan, Sam and Garrett and I was so excited to read Logan's HEA. Rebecca Zanetti once again knocked it out the park. I loved this book. Logan was just so yummy. Add in Garrett, Talen, Dage and Zane and I was in Dark Protector heaven!

Logan was just so amazing in this book. Protective, sexy, dominant, and loyal. The male had the patience of a saint. He was everything I love about Zanetti's heroes and he stole my heart. Mercy on the other hand took a bit longer to warm up too. Don't get me wrong I liked Mercy, but Lord I wanted to shake some sense into her. At times she was so annoying running from my Logan, charging head first without thinking things through. I was surprised it took Logan so long to tie her butt to a bed lol. Now that being said Mercy was smart, sweet and playful. I thought Logan and Mercy had great sexual chemistry and made a really cute couple.

The plot of this book was action pack and had some twist and turns I didn't see coming. I was really glad that Garrett and Logan are no longer keeping secrets from their family. I am hoping it will mean more time with my favorite Kayrs from past books. I need more Talen, Dage, Jase, Conn, and Kane. I just need more of all of them! OMG My heart broke for Quade and Ivar. I need Quade to get his HEA and he needs a good one for the hell he has been through. Just sayin'! Also I am really curious about Adare and his backstory. Of course I always want more Hope. She was so cute in this book. She reminds me a lot of her mother. Overall another great book in an epic series. I did take one star off because Mercy drove me crazy at time, but still it was a great read. I can't wait for the next one.

Chasing Fire

Book Review of Chasing Fire (Colorado High Country Series)

Title:Chasing Fire

Series: Colorado High Country/I-Team Series

Author: Pamela Clare

Date Published:  December 15th 2018

Date Read: January 1, 2019

The Blurb:

For fans of Pamela Clare’s acclaimed I-Team and Colorado High Country series…

An I-Team/Colorado High Country Crossover Novel

Fire chief Eric Hawke knows it’s only a matter of time until the next big wildfire. He’s done everything he can to prepare his crews for the inevitable. When high winds turn a small blaze into a raging crown fire that threatens Scarlet Springs, he, Brandon Silver, and the rest of Scarlet FD put their lives on the line to save the town and its citizens. But the one thing Hawke hadn’t planned for was bureaucratic red tape and waffling from higher-ups that could turn this crisis into a catastrophe. When his requests for support go unheeded, he’s faced with the prospect of watching the town he loves burn to ashes.

But sometimes help comes from unexpected places.

Marc Hunter, Julian Darcangelo, and Zach McBride are in the mountains above Scarlet Springs for an interagency training exercise when they see a single wisp of smoke to the west. What begins as a fun day of playing cops and bad guys soon becomes a battle against time, as they join forces with Hawke and members of the Rocky Mountain Search & Rescue Team to save friends trapped by the fire.

Together, they pit their strength and courage against a terrifying and unforgiving force of nature. Will it be enough? Or will the ravenous flames claim lives—and leave the people of Scarlet Springs forever scarred?

My Review

5 The gangs all here Stars

Well I started the New Year off with a bang from two of my favorite Colorado gangs. Hey look that rhymed lol. Anyways this book was pure genius. I love both the I-Team series and Colorado High Country series. So taking current events like the wild fires and two of my favorite series and putting them together in one action packed, heart melting book was like giving all the fan-girls and guys a bookgasm. Seeing all my favorite past characters as they fight to save lives and the town of Scarlet Springs had my heart racing almost the whole book. I don't know if you have read my review on Dead By Midnight An I-Team Christmas, but after I read that book the I-Team wasn't the only one to suffer from PTSD. I swear thinking my Marc was shot had me losing my shit! So when Marc and other beloved heroes almost lost their lives in this book I had some really ugly fan girl freak outs.

After scaring the crap out of my husband and kids by yelling every 20 mins or so " OMG Noooooo Please NO NO NONOONONONOOOOOOOOO." I had to go into my bedroom with the door closed and read so as not to disturb my family. To say this book was action packed is an understatement. It was pulse pounding, edge of your seat. I loved every freaking minute of it. Of course Marc, Julian, Nate, Gabe, Jesse, Eric, Vicki, and Sophie were the shining stars of the book for me. Marc Hunter being my all time favorite Pamela Clare hero. He is just panty melting delicious. Any book with Marc in it will be a hit for me. Truly though this book had a great plot. After watching and praying as wildfires devastated California it was moving to read a story related to it with a shining light on the everyday heroes that put their lives on the line in these situations. I don't know about anyone else but it gave me a look into how hard their jobs are. I mean I know they are hard but getting a deeper look into all they do to protect us, all their families go through worrying that they may lose their loved ones, it humbles me. And even though this book is a work of fiction, you can tell Pamela Clare did her research. This book really was a fangirl dream and if you liked the I-Team or Colorado High Country series then this book is a must. And if you haven't read them and you are looks for some great Contemporary/Romantic Suspense books give them a try.
