Twilight

Book Review of Twilight (Twilight Series)

Title: Twilight

Series: Twilight Series

Author: Stephenie Meyer

Date Published:  September 6th 2006

Date Read:  For the 7th time on Feb 23 2014

The Blurb:
About three things I was absolutely positive.

First, Edward was a vampire.

Second, there was a part of him—and I didn't know how dominant that part might be—that thirsted for my blood.

And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.

In the first book of the Twilight Saga, internationally bestselling author Stephenie Meyer introduces Bella Swan and Edward Cullen, a pair of star-crossed lovers whose forbidden relationship ripens against the backdrop of small-town suspicion and a mysterious coven of vampires. This is a love story with bite.

My Review

Omg Twilight is the first book that taught me the love of reading, my first taste of the PNR world.
This book is great. Edward is a super hott, very fast vampire who can read minds. Him and his family don't feed off humans, but instead only drink from animals.

Bella is pretty but shy, awkward, clumsy and stubborn.  She is pretty much the parent to her mother. Which makes her very mature for her age.

Bella moves to Forks to be with a father who she has not been very close to in years. She see Edward at lunch at school and wants him. Edward is confused as to why he can't hear Bella's thoughts. When they have their first class together he smells her for the first time, her blood sings to him. He has to fight the whole time not to kill her. This makes him feel such shame that he hates her. After running for 2 weeks Edward comes back and tries to stay away from Bella but they can't stay away from each other and end up falling in love

“And so the lion fell in love with the lamb…" he murmured. I looked away, hiding my eyes as I thrilled to the word.
"What a stupid lamb," I sighed.
"What a sick, masochistic lion.”

“You are my life now.”

Twilight Had it all I loved the whole book read it 7 times now beautiful love story. Great plot lots of drama and a hero to save the day. The Cullens are great you fall in love with the whole family, well maybe not rose lol.

Bella and her dad's relationship is great. The only thing I didn't love about the story was the fact that they sparkled. I get it, the writer wanted to do something different ,and it was different. The sparkling didn't take anything away from a great story . It will forever be one of my favorites.

 My Review

5 You looked like my last hope Stars

“Fuck, it hurts to see you in pain. I just want to take it all away.”

Promise me is the second book in the Defiant Motorcycle Club series, and it was so damn good. It is longer than the first book which I loved, and gave me all of the things the first book lacked. I feel I really got to know these characters, and see their relationship develop. I will warn everyone, and say that the heroine is raped and beat in this book by her worthless evil bastard of a husband who is not the hero.

What this book is about

Promise was born and raised in a polygamous religious cult called Faithful Last Disciples and Saints. Promise is being forced to marry a evil sadistic man, who already has 4 wives. She thinks about running away like her cousin Rachel did to escape the marriage, but her uncle the "Bishop" who is also Rachel's father tells her if she doesn't marry, her 16 year old sister Jenny will take her place, so she stays. On her wedding night she realizes what a big mistake that is when her evil husband beats her, and rapes her a number of times. The next day her husband has a business trip, and takes her with him so he can beat and rape her some more. While on the trip her husband lets her know that Jenny has been married off while they were gone to a older man from a sister cult. Feeling sick over all of it she tells her husband she has to use the bathroom, and she runs into the local Burger King. When she gets inside she see two men wearing leather cuts that say Defiant on them, and she remembers her Cousin Rachel was with a man wearing the same cut. Knowing she has nothing to lose she ask one of the men named Grayson to help her and take her to her cousin Rachel. He helps her, but can she make a normal life for herself? Will she ever see her sister Jenny again, or will her husband find her, and make her pay for running ?

“And there’s nothing anyone could say to make me think badly of Grayson. Nothing.”

Grayson:

Grayson is a true hero in every sense of the word. He helps Promise, protects her , and makes her feel safe. He is so damn sweet with her. He wants Promise, but fears she has lived through too much, so he offers her friendship and support. When they fall in love he gives her his whole heart holding nothing back. Always building her up, telling her how much he loves her, and how beautiful, amazing, and strong she is. He shows her the joys of being with a man, and earns her trust. I love Grayson!!!!!!!

“Hush,” he said, his voice rough and pained, “no one’s gonna hurt you. Not while I’m here. I promise. I promise.”

“My dick gets hard every time I see you. You’re so beautiful. No, don’t close your eyes. Look at how we are together. See the way my hands look on your body?”

Promise:

Wow did I love Promise. She is a total stand out character for me. Strong and brave, but soft and vulnerable too. Her background coming from a polygamous cult was new for me, not something I have read before. She doesn't want pity, and she doesn't want to lose anymore life to her past, and even thought she has demons and fears she doesn't let them keep her from starting a new life. I love her raw innocent honesty, she doesn't know to hold back and just says what she thinks and feels. I love that when she and Grayson get together she just lets herself feel and do. It's like girls gone wild! She helps Grayson too, showing him that he is a great man, with a good heart. It's cute reading about her learning the joys of a free and normal life, wearing jeans, saying a cuss word, making love.

“You hungry?” “I’m fucking starving.” He laughed out loud. “Since when do you talk like that?” “Since I fucking can.” He continued to laugh. “Well, don’t fucking overdo it.”

“I will not. I can’t have you saying you’re not a good man when you’re the only one I’ve ever known. I thought good men weren’t real. Gray, all that’s gone when I’m with you. All the terrible things fade away.”

“Gray,” I implored, “I need you inside me.” “You need me to fuck you, huh?” “Yes. I need you. I need your dick.”

I found Promise me to be a beautiful love story. It is emotional and super sweet, but still smokin' hot too. Grayson and Promise are great together. Giving, loving, and building each other up. I felt very connected to them and their relationship. I enjoyed seeing more of Rachel, Casper, Kira and Orian. I loved the plot. It was something new to me, something fresh and interesting. And the ending OMG so sweet. Great read!

“That was a shitty day,” I agreed. “And yet I started to fall for you right there in the middle of my most bleak hour. You defied my abuser and gave me the strength to hope.” I leaned my cheek against his shoulder. “And in spite of everything, I wouldn’t trade all of that.”

My Review

5 ma petite flamme stars

* May have some Spoilers below*

“I found out a long time ago, you can endure anything if you have to. Whitney didn’t defeat me, Raoul. I learned a lot of very valuable lessons.”

Hot damn I just fell for a sexy Cajun Charmer! Mmm Mmm Gator is yummy! This book is my favorite of the series so far. Night Game is so good. I loved everything about this book!

“And you’re stubborn too. I like that in a woman. Never have gone for the submissive type.” He winked at her. “I like a tigress in my bed.”

What this book is about

Raoul (Gator) Fontenot is back home in the bayou to investigate the disappearance of a local woman Joy, and to look for Iris (Flame) Johnson (another Ghostwalker) and bring her back to Lily. Gator finds Flame but she has no intention of going to Lily who she feels betrayed her when they were children. She also believes the Evil Dr. Peter Whitney is still alive and that Lily is working for him. Can Gator get Flame to trust him and Lily and bring her home or will he start to believe that maybe Dr. Peter Whitney is still alive after all?

“You don’ want to admit it, cher, but you like me. You think I’m charmin’. And handsome. And sexy.”

Rauol (Gator):

“I love how hot and wet you are for me and how when I touch you, and I’m deep inside you, all your muscles clamp down on me as if you’re holding me inside you and don’t want to let me go.”

OMG I am so in love with Gator. He is so damn sexy, so playful and funny. He has a really charming personality. A total flirt. He has that good ol boys laid back attitude, but he has a temper. He may appear laid back but he is the ultimate super soldier and can kick ass with the best of em! He is so good to his Grandma Nonny it just melts my heart. The way he is with Flame at the end when her hair falls out from chemo OMG so sweet. He is my new book Husband! GOD I love him.

“Did I mention I’m partial to your breasts? I want to lie down beside you and just suck and play to my heart’s content.” “Not only are you a perv about knives, you have an oral fixation.” “Cher, I have a lot of fixations. Just saying the word oral conjures up that beautiful mouth of yours fixating on my very hard cock.” He kissed her ear, his tongue doing a little foray that sent another shiver through her body. "Did I tell you I love your mouth? Hot and velvet soft and very moist. I don’ know if I can survive just thinkin’ about your mouth and tongue and all that heat.”

“You scared the hell out of me, cher. If you ever do something like this again, I’m goin’ to turn you over my knee and beat your pretty little ass until you can’t sit down and you beg me for mercy.”

“This is us. You and me, Flame. And this is my choice. I want you because of who and what you are, not because of an experiment. You’re in my heart. You have to understand that. This is only between us.”

Flame:

“I love you,” Flame whispered, her voice so low that even with his acute hearing, he barely heard. “I’ve never loved anyone, Raoul and I’m not very good at it.”

Damn I love Flame. I might have a girl crush on her. She is so damn awesome! She is one drop kickin, knife throwing, tough as nails total badass chick! She is strong willed, and stubborn as hell. She is playful, and sweet. Respectful to nonny. She has a bad temper too. She has had a bad life filled with pain and betrayal. She is dying of cancer and knows it. So she is trying to help as many people as she can before she dies. Even with all her trust issues and her fear of being hurt she is good to Gator and slowly lets him in. She truly has a big heart and wants what every woman wants a family and love. She is a grudge holder and in a way I can understand, but I did wanna tell her to just get over it when it came to Lily and Gator. When she told Gator's Nonny that she was pregnant and that he wouldn't take care of it, to get back at him, I about fell over laughin.

I’m so sorry, ma’am. I shouldn’t have come.” She lowered her gaze looking young and vulnerable, allowing her voice to tremble. “I sing in a club and he came in sweet-talkin’ and smiling at me and I know I was wrong. I’m really a good girl. And now there’s a baby on the way and I…“ She pressed a hand to her stomach as she stood up shakily. “I thought if I came, he’d do the right thing, but…“ she trailed off pathetically.

“No it’s not. Why do people say that? Crying is a complete waste of time. It doesn’t do any good whatsoever. Your face swells up and turns red. Your eyes burn and you get the headache from hell. Will crying bring Burrell back?” She sank down onto the bed, back against the wall, drawing her knees up. “I cried once in a while after I learned to screw up Whitney’s camera and recorders. It didn’t make me well. It didn’t get me out of the cage he put me in. It didn’t do a damn thing but give him satisfaction when he found out. I’m not crying.”

“Really. Raoul, let me have a go at him. He could creep up behind you someday and you’d never see it coming.” His arm circled her neck, drawing her close enough that he could find her mouth again, kissing her hard and deep. “That’s what I love most. You’re such a blood thirsty little wench.”

“Don’t worry, baby, I won’t let anything happen to you.” He didn’t know whether to laugh or to scowl at her. Any other woman would be teasing, but he had the feeling she meant it. “First of all, I’m the man and I do man things, like take care of my woman in a bad situation.”“You’re the man? What does that mean? I hope you don’t mean what I think you did. I’m a soldier and I can fight every bit as well as you.”

Gator and Flame together are hilarious. Two people with hot tempers and a massive undercurrent of sexual tension. Their playful bickering and flirting is so cute. I was very invested in their relationship. There was a build up to their relationship that felt real. Tender moments together where you could see how they fell in love with each other. Damn did they have some hot chemistry!!! Gator is a kinky bad boy. I love Nonny. This book is emotional and touching. My heart bled for Gator and Flame. And I felt so bad for Lily. The end had me tearing up.

“The work I do is every bit as real a danger as cancer is to you. It’s every bit as real as the threat of Whitney is to you. Life gives us choices, Flame. You either grab on with both hands and just go for it, or you sit on the sidelines. I’m a go for it kind of man.”

This book was such a great read. I am on to the next book below I leave one of my favorite moments from this book:

“Did Gator take care of you, cher?” she asked, with a quick smile for her grandson. Flame blushed, uncertain what Raoul’s grandmother was asking. Surely she wasn’t inquiring as to whether or not he’d taken care of her sexual needs? It didn’t help that Raoul pressed against her back, his breath warm on the nape of her neck, both hands cupping her bottom right through her tight jeans. She smiled at Nonny and slapped at Gator’s hands behind her back. “He was-unbelievable.” She found herself stammering. “Unbelievable?” Wyatt echoed, his eyebrow shooting up. “He was unbelievable?” Flame’s color deepened and she cast him a glare. “Astonishing.” That was worse. What was the matter with her? It wasn’t her fault, Raoul was distracting her with his roaming hands. He had a fixation with her butt and she was going to have to do something mean right there in his grandmother’s home if he didn’t stop. Did one get aroused in front of other people? She never had, but then that was before she met the Cajun king of perverts. Gator put his lips against her ear. “Mind-blowing?” He helped her out. “Or maybe that was you.” Flame cleared her throat. “I couldn’t believe how attentive he was last night, Ms. Fontenot.” Wyatt burst out laughing. He nudged his brother “You were attentive. Just how attentive were you?”

Lady Isabella's Scandalous Marriage

Book Review of Lady Isabella's Scandalous Marriage                                (Mackenzie & McBrides)

Title: Lady Isabella's Scandalous Marriage

Series: Mackenzie & McBrides/ Highland Pleasures

Author: Jennifer Ashley

Date Published: July 6th 2010

Date Read:   May 04, 2015

The Blurb:
Six years ago, eighteen-year-old Lady Isabella Scranton scandalized all of London by eloping the night of her come-out ball with the notorious rake, Lord Mac Mackenzie. After three turbulent years of marriage, she scandalized London once again—this time by leaving him.

Now Mac has resurfaced, every bit as charismatic, and with one goal: to seduce Isabella back into his life and his bed even if it means acting like a real gentleman. But when Isabella rises to the challenge of posing nude for Mac's erotic paintings, her pent-up hunger for the decadent rake is exposed as well, and she finds herself unable to resist the smooth strokes of an artist at work.

But someone's been watching them—dangerously close. This ingenious forger with designs on Mac's paintings also sets his sights on Isabella herself. Deciding to become Isabella's protector, Mac vows to never leave her side, whether his independent and proud lady likes it or not.

My Review

                     5 Scandalous Stars

“Isabella.” The word came out half whisper, half moan. “I’ve missed you so much.” “I’ve missed you.” She touched his face, her hand cool and soft. “I do miss you, Mac.”

I am enjoying the hell outta this series! I was a little fearful when I started this book. I worried that Ian's book would have set the bar too high and this one would never live up to the love I have for Ian. I was so wrong OMG!!!! This book was so damn good. I think I have a weakness for sexy Scottish men.

“It is a game, my love.” He held her gaze. “It is the most serious game I’ve ever engaged in. And I intend to win it. I will have you back, Isabella—in my life, in my house, and in my bed.”

What this book is about

Isabella met Mac 6 years ago at her coming out ball. He stole a dance, then a kiss. That night they run off and scandalously eloped. After 3 years of putting up with Mac disappearing without warning to paint for weeks at a time (God knows where), and always being drunk Isabella had enough. She leaves him. When Isabella left Mac it was his wake up call. Mac loves his wife. He knows he messed up big time, and sets about to get his life in order. He sobers up, and stops hanging out with his drinking friends. It's a few years later and Mac feels he has given Isabella enough time. He misses his wife, and he is ready to win her back! Isabella still loves her husband and misses him so much it hurts. He says he has changed, but he said it many times before. She just doesn't know if she can stand to be hurt again. Can Mac win his wife back, and get her to trust him again?

“I’m not interested in being fair. I’m fighting for our marriage and our life. Fair doesn’t come into it.”

Mac:

“Scandalous debutante,” he said. “With her legs around a wicked lord.”

Mac yum! Mac is so funny, charming, playful, and sexy. I loved Mac. He knows he made huge mistakes in his marriage, and he works hard to do right by his wife. I love that he and Isabella are faithful to each other even when apart. He is patience while working to win his wife back. He is an artist so he is very passionate. Mac is very giving, and protective of those he loves. He has a very big heart, and is a all around good man.

“I know you can’t. But understand this: I want to take you to bed and have you wake up with me, unashamed, no regrets, no tossing me out before anyone catches us. I want your trust, whole and unblemished. I will keep fighting until I have that.”

She put her hand on his knee and slid it swiftly under his kilt. Mac inhaled sharply. “My, my, you’re good at that. Is that the sort of thing you learned in finishing school, young lady?” Isabella gently twisted her hand around his shaft, and perspiration formed on Mac’s upper lip. “On the contrary. I learned deportment and how to wear a fine hat.” “Nonsense, you had lessons in this. Miss Pringle must have handed out models of cocks, made of plaster of paris maybe.” He took on a high falsetto. “Like this, girls. One, two, one, two. Come along, ladies, don’t slack.”

“Because I’m madly in love with the woman I painted. There’s love in every brushstroke, every dab of paint. I couldn’t paint when Molly posed because she’s only a model to me, like a vase of flowers. You are real. I know what your flesh feels like under my hand. I know how slick your cleft is to my fingers, how your breath tastes in my mouth. I love every part of you. That is what I painted, and no one in the world will get to see these pictures but the two of us.”

Isabella:

“I can’t lose you.” Isabella stroked his hair, her touch so dear to him. “I don’t want to live without you, Mac. I never was a whole person until I met you.”

Poor Isabella, I really felt her pain. She was so young when she married. Her family disowned her for eloping with Mac, her husband drinking and running off all the time then she suffers such a big loss, and Mac isn't there for her. Living in an age when women let their husbands do as they please and just take it, I loved that Isabella respected herself enough to demand her husband treat her right. When he didn't change she left even though she still was madly in love with Mac. She had a lot of courage to stand on her own back then. I understood where she was coming from. She was hurt , but she was still sweet, and caring to him and his family. Isabella is independent, strong willed, playful, and a cheerful person! She is determined to be as happy as she can even when life didn't go the way she planned. I total understand her reluctances to let her husband have another chance.

“I bought gowns I thought you’d like to see me in. I gave tea parties for your friends, so they would be my friends too. I ran fetes to help people who needed help, because I wanted to emulate the way you helped poor artists.”

“But how do I know our time together now won’t be the same as it was before?” she asked, anguished. “With you coming and going without a word, you deciding when we’ll be together and when I need a rest from you? You don’t get to decide everything, Mac.”

"But there are things about the other Mac I still love,” Isabella went on. “I love your humor, your ability to render things harmless by laughing at them. I love your charm. When you were playing with the band on the street corner, you rose to the occasion with aplomb and made your friends look like idiots for ridiculing people. I was so proud to be your wife that night.”

“I love you,” Isabella heard herself say. “I love you, my Isabella. I’ve never stopped loving you, not for one single second.”

Lady Isabella's Scandalous Marriage is a beautiful story of second chance love. Of a husband and wife that made many mistakes, but found their way back to each other. Their love stronger than ever. Mac and Isabella have explosive passion. They love each other and have a deep bond that just made their sex hotter! I love that you get to see a lot of their past relationship in this book, you get to see them meet , fall in love, fight, and see how it all went wrong. So you don't feel like you are missing half the story, like it sometimes feels in second chance love stories. There is lots of Ian and Beth in this book too which just rocks! The Ending OMG the HEA. I was freaking out, all girly giddy , bouncing up and down in my chair and doing a lil happy dance. The ending was so good. It was like a super size happy ending. This series is a hit for me! Anyone who likes beautiful loves stories and sexy Scots in kilts should read this series! So Good.

“Isabella,” he whispered. “I was a selfish, selfish bastard. Do you believe me when I tell you I realize that now?”

I will leave you with one of my favorite moments from this book:

“A gentleman sending you flowers?” Mac asked in a mock gruff voice behind his breakfast newspaper. “Is he a proper sort of gentleman?” “I believe so.” Isabella sat down at her place, fingering the card, which she’d slipped into her pocket. “He has invited me to go walking with him this afternoon.” Mac folded down one corner of the paper, giving her a stern look. “And what have you decided?” “I will accept. Going for a walk in a public place will be most proper. And agreeable.” “Be careful of his intentions. I’ve heard of this Lord Roland’s bad reputation.” “I believe he’s reformed,” Isabella said. “So he tells me.” Mac tsk-tsked. “Be on your guard, my dear. Be on your guard. I believe he paints women—with their clothes off.”

The Blurb:
The year is 1881. Meet the Mackenzie family--rich, powerful, dangerous, eccentric. A lady couldn't be seen with them without ruin. Rumors surround them--of tragic violence, of their mistresses, of their dark appetites, of scandals that set England and Scotland abuzz.

Beth Ackerley, widow, has recently come into a fortune. She has decided that she wants no more drama in her life. She was raised in drama--an alcoholic father who drove them into the workhouse, a frail mother she had to nurse until her death, a fussy old lady she became constant companion to. No, she wants to take her money and find peace, to travel, to learn art, to sit back and fondly remember her brief but happy marriage to her late husband.

And then Ian Mackenzie decides he wants her.

My Review

                       5 Crazy in love Stars

“When I saw you, I knew I had to take you away from him. He had no idea what you were worth, just like he can’t price the damn bowls. He’s a philistine.”

Let me just say that with Historical Romances I either love em or I hate em. I loved this one so much! OMG it was so different and freaking awesome that I couldn't put it down. Hell I didn't even want to stop long enough to write this review. I wanted to just move on to the next book in this series... This was such a beautiful and heartwarming story about Two flawed people finding happiness with each other just the way they are!

“It’s part of the very intriguing package that is Ian Mackenzie.”

What this book is about

Beth Ackerley is a widow who just inherited enough money to be set for life. Engaged to a man she thinks is respectable, Beth is ready to start a drama free life and to find a little bit of happiness since the loss of her beloved first husband. Everything changes when she meets Lord Ian Mackenzie at the opera. While shaking her hand he slips a note into her glove. When she reads it, it tells her that her soon to be husband has women on the side and has a slave fetish. Upset by the news she flees the Opera to get fresh air, where Ian grabs her and asks her to marry him instead! She knows what everyone says about Lord Ian Mackenzie (that he is crazy), but she feels drawn to him. Then he kisses her and she doesn't care if he is crazy she just wants more! What is a respectable woman to do? Run for her life or take her chances with Mad Mackenzie.

“Belong to me.” “No one here to dispute that at the moment.” “Always mine. Always, Beth.”

Ian:

“Is this what love feels like?” he whispered to her. “I don’t like it, my Beth. It hurts too much.”

Ian stole my heart. He is one of the most endearing and memorable characters I have read in a long time. Ian is considered mad. It is obvious that Ian has Asperger's Syndrome, of course back then they didn't know what any of that is so he was labeled mad, beat , tossed in an asylum to be tortured with electric shock therapy and, beat some more until his father dies and his brother the Duke gets him released. Ian believes he can't love and he doesn't understand others emotions, he also has a lot of pint up rage, but Ian is a fighter. A overcomer that knows he doesn't fit in, but makes a life for himself anyways. I love him with Beth how hard he tries to understand what she is feeling, trying hard to look her in the eyes and he even tries to make a joke or two. He was a pure and in-depth Character that you can never forget!

“We don’t fit in, you and me,” he said. “We’re both oddities no one knows what to do with. But we fit together.” He took her hand, pressed her palm to his, then laced their fingers through each other’s. “We fit.”

“Your being with me makes it stop. It’s like the Ming bowls—when I touch them and feel them, everything stops. Nothing matters. You are the same. That is why I brought you here, to keep you with me, where you can please make . .. everything . . . stop.”

“For God’s sake.” Ian spun away, unable to stand still. “I’m not your Thomas, your vicar. I never will be. I know you’ll never look at me the way you looked at him.” She stared at him, white-faced. “What do you mean?” He turned back. “You look at me like I’m the Mad Mackenzie. It’s in the back of your mind all the time.” He tapped the side of her head. “You can never forget about my madness, and you pity me for it.”

Beth:

“I am a wicked, wicked woman,” she murmured. “Kiss me again.”

Beth is perfect for Ian. She is sweet and loving. She is also strong willed and stands up for Ian and what she believes in. She is very outspoken and said what is on her mind! She's had a hard life which gives her courage and a backbone, but it makes her not fit in so well in social settings. I loved how Beth loved and accepted Ian just the way he is not trying to fix or change him. She makes him laugh, smile and she believes in him. She also really wants Ian and is not shy about it.

“Explain to me what loving feels like, Beth. I want to understand.” “The love for another’s body. But also love for their heart and their mind, and for all the silly things they do, no matter how absurd. Your world brightens when they walk into a room, dims when they leave it again. You want to be with the beloved so you can see him and touch him and hear his voice, but you want his happiness as well. It’s selfish, but not entirely so.”

“I am Ian’s wife because I choose to be,” she said. “Whether we live in a grand mansion or a tiny boardinghouse, it makes no difference.”

“I like it,” she said. “I love how hard your staff is, yet the skin is silken. I remember how it feels under my tongue.”

“I’m the Mad Mackenzie.” Beth pressed his face between her hands, anger suddenly rising. “That is other people’s explanation, because they don’t understand you.”

“Never mind. You are a rogue and a scoundrel, and I love every single second of it.”

Beth and Ian are a sweet couple and you could feel the strong connection they have like they are real people. They have some steamy chemistry and both really enjoy carnal relations. The other Mackenzie brothers are loud, rude , manly and totally lovable. This story touched me deeply. I have a niece with autism so reading a book where pure love overcomes differences and difficulties to live happily ever after gives me hope that someday she will get hers too.

“My Beth,” he whispered, his breath hot on her swollen lips. “Thank you.” “For what?” Beth couldn’t stop crying, but she smiled, her face aching with it. “Setting me free.”

I can't wait to read the others. Below I leave my favorite moment in the book:

“I love you,” he said. Beth caught her breath, and sudden tears blurred her vision. “Love you,” Ian repeated. His gaze bore into hers harder than Hart’s ever could hope to. “Love you, love you, love you, love you, love you love you love you...” “Ian.” Beth laughed. “Love you,” he murmured against her lips, her face, against the curve of her neck. “Love you.” “I love you, too. Are you going to say it all night?” “I’ll say it until I’m in you so hard I can’t speak.” “I suppose I’ll have to put up with that. It might be difficult, though I wouldn’t mind finding out.” He paused. “Are you joking?” Beth laughed until she slid out of the seat, but when she landed on the floor, Ian was right beside her. “Yes. I was joking.” She caught lan’s lapels in her hands. “I believe carnality is definitely called for. Perhaps we should send for Curry to pull out the bed.”
