 My Review

5 You looked like my last hope Stars

“Fuck, it hurts to see you in pain. I just want to take it all away.”

Promise me is the second book in the Defiant Motorcycle Club series, and it was so damn good. It is longer than the first book which I loved, and gave me all of the things the first book lacked. I feel I really got to know these characters, and see their relationship develop. I will warn everyone, and say that the heroine is raped and beat in this book by her worthless evil bastard of a husband who is not the hero.

What this book is about

Promise was born and raised in a polygamous religious cult called Faithful Last Disciples and Saints. Promise is being forced to marry a evil sadistic man, who already has 4 wives. She thinks about running away like her cousin Rachel did to escape the marriage, but her uncle the "Bishop" who is also Rachel's father tells her if she doesn't marry, her 16 year old sister Jenny will take her place, so she stays. On her wedding night she realizes what a big mistake that is when her evil husband beats her, and rapes her a number of times. The next day her husband has a business trip, and takes her with him so he can beat and rape her some more. While on the trip her husband lets her know that Jenny has been married off while they were gone to a older man from a sister cult. Feeling sick over all of it she tells her husband she has to use the bathroom, and she runs into the local Burger King. When she gets inside she see two men wearing leather cuts that say Defiant on them, and she remembers her Cousin Rachel was with a man wearing the same cut. Knowing she has nothing to lose she ask one of the men named Grayson to help her and take her to her cousin Rachel. He helps her, but can she make a normal life for herself? Will she ever see her sister Jenny again, or will her husband find her, and make her pay for running ?

“And there’s nothing anyone could say to make me think badly of Grayson. Nothing.”

Grayson:

Grayson is a true hero in every sense of the word. He helps Promise, protects her , and makes her feel safe. He is so damn sweet with her. He wants Promise, but fears she has lived through too much, so he offers her friendship and support. When they fall in love he gives her his whole heart holding nothing back. Always building her up, telling her how much he loves her, and how beautiful, amazing, and strong she is. He shows her the joys of being with a man, and earns her trust. I love Grayson!!!!!!!

“Hush,” he said, his voice rough and pained, “no one’s gonna hurt you. Not while I’m here. I promise. I promise.”

“My dick gets hard every time I see you. You’re so beautiful. No, don’t close your eyes. Look at how we are together. See the way my hands look on your body?”

Promise:

Wow did I love Promise. She is a total stand out character for me. Strong and brave, but soft and vulnerable too. Her background coming from a polygamous cult was new for me, not something I have read before. She doesn't want pity, and she doesn't want to lose anymore life to her past, and even thought she has demons and fears she doesn't let them keep her from starting a new life. I love her raw innocent honesty, she doesn't know to hold back and just says what she thinks and feels. I love that when she and Grayson get together she just lets herself feel and do. It's like girls gone wild! She helps Grayson too, showing him that he is a great man, with a good heart. It's cute reading about her learning the joys of a free and normal life, wearing jeans, saying a cuss word, making love.

“You hungry?” “I’m fucking starving.” He laughed out loud. “Since when do you talk like that?” “Since I fucking can.” He continued to laugh. “Well, don’t fucking overdo it.”

“I will not. I can’t have you saying you’re not a good man when you’re the only one I’ve ever known. I thought good men weren’t real. Gray, all that’s gone when I’m with you. All the terrible things fade away.”

“Gray,” I implored, “I need you inside me.” “You need me to fuck you, huh?” “Yes. I need you. I need your dick.”

I found Promise me to be a beautiful love story. It is emotional and super sweet, but still smokin' hot too. Grayson and Promise are great together. Giving, loving, and building each other up. I felt very connected to them and their relationship. I enjoyed seeing more of Rachel, Casper, Kira and Orian. I loved the plot. It was something new to me, something fresh and interesting. And the ending OMG so sweet. Great read!

“That was a shitty day,” I agreed. “And yet I started to fall for you right there in the middle of my most bleak hour. You defied my abuser and gave me the strength to hope.” I leaned my cheek against his shoulder. “And in spite of everything, I wouldn’t trade all of that.”

My Review

4 I’m going to ride like hell Stars

“You can belong to me.”

Wow Know Me is a great read. I took a star off because it wasn't long enough. It so needed to be about 100 or more pages longer. Even as short as it was, it still rocked it out.

What this book is about

Kira is home from college for a few days on a impromptu visit with her dad, Crest Tolleson the president of the Warlocks MC. On her first night home after going to bed she hears screams, gun shots, then her dad comes busting through the door bleeding, opens the window sitting her out it and tells her to run. No sooner did her dad get the window closed again did she hear the president of another MC gang coming in the room saying how he was going to hunt her down and have some fun with her and then killed her father. Kira not knowing what to do or who to turn to, runs to the only one she can think of that will be able to help her , her father's best friend Orion. Orion and her father had a bad falling out 10 years ago and she hasn't seem him since, but she knows where he is, and that he is the president of Defiant MC. When Kira shows up Orion tells her he will keep her safe if ... She will be his!

“So some things don’t change,” he said. Then he looked me over, his face growing more serious. “And some things do,”

“Orion, I love you so fucking much,” I cried and didn’t care that I’d said it because it was true. He moaned in an agonized voice. “Kira, baby. Shit, what have you done to me?”

This book was HOTT! Orion is 40 and Kira is 20 so this book has the sexy older man, daddy's best friend taboo thing going on, plus he is a badass MC president. Both Kira and Orion are very likeable characters. Kira is very innocence. Her dad kept her away from most of the MC way of life, and she doesn't date. She is to busy with school. Having not been with a man, Orion is a lot to bite off for her first time, but she can hold her own with him in the relationship. Orion was rough around the edges and nothing is innocence about him, but he has a good heart. They fall hard, and fast. They can't keep their hands off each other and have explosive chemistry. My only problem with this book is it just wasn't long enough. I needed more character development, and more relationship development. Also I would have liked to have known why her father and Orion parted ways. Over all a really good book and I am looking forward to the next one.

“But I’d take that. I’d gladly deal with the hole you’ve ripped in my heart if it meant I’d get to keep you.” He smoothed my hair, his face crumbling. “But I’d be a selfish piece of shit to hold you here. And that’s not something I can live with. Not where you’re concerned.”

My Review

                  5 Deeper Grey Stars

Who love the fuck outta this book ?

I loved the first book in this series, Fifty Shades of Grey , but I loved this one more. OMG I really didn't think I would like this book more . I mean I knew going into this, that I would most likely like it. I liked the first book and this is just the first book in Christian pov. I knew I would get a little more info about what was going on in Mr. Grey's fucked up mind, but the same story. I loved seeing things from Christian's pov. It made me love him more. I know not everyone will agree with me and that is cool. We are all free thinking people and I love that, but when I wrote my review on Fifty Shades of Grey, I had some people message me or leave comments on my review that said all kinds of mean things. "I was weak minded." " I set the feminist movement back" " I was promoting domestic violence" ect ect. So please if you don't like this book or my review that is okay. Just don't send me hateful comments please. This review is just my silly little opinion and means nothing in the grand scheme of things!

That being said, I loved seeing Christian fall in love. Seeing his thought's on Ana. It made me hate Elena more, which quite frankly is amazing because I hated that bitch so much already. My favorite part was the ending when their relationship is falling apart. This book gave me what I wanted that the first one didn't, which was to see what was going though Christian's mind when he realized he had taken it to far with Ana and what he did after she left him. I think getting to see Ana the way Christian seen her was also great because it not only made Ana more Personable, but it made Christian seem more real. I really enjoyed this book and I am sure most Fifty shades fans will. Grey made me miss the series so much I am going to reread book 2&3. I really hope E.L. James makes books 2&3 in Christian's pov . Hey a girl can dream!

My Review

3 Mister Crazy Mountain Man Grizzly Bear Person Stars

"Yeah. Right. Here, Mister Crazy Mountain Man Grizzly Bear Person, why don't you come on over to my house and murder me in my living room? That sounds like fun."

Wrong Number, Right Guy, the first book for The Bourbon Street Boys Series, was just okay for me. I love Elle Casey and I love her Shine Not Burn Series. So when I seen this book on Netgalley I was so excited to get it, but sadly I couldn't stand the heroine of the book, May. May drove me crazy and it took away from my enjoyment of the book a lot!

"Operation Ugly Beard?" I ask. Dev laughs and then stops immediately when Ozzie glares at him. "Harley," Ozzie says. "It's Harley, not ugly beard." I mumble under my breath as I pick up my sweaty towel. "Could've fooled me."

May was so immature she acted more like a teenage girl and not 29 year old woman. At times I felt like I was reading a book about a man awkwardly trying to date a high schooler She did some of the ditziest shit. She truly acted silly and teen like when it came to Ozzie, her job, Sex ect.... OMG she blushed at everything. Everything! I just couldn't stand her. Ozzie on the other hand I really liked. I liked his hard, sexy, gruff self. Hell he earned extra awesome points just for putting up with May because I would have washed my hands of her silly ass. I would have liked to see a little more of the hero, a little more of his personality. As far as other characters go in this book I really liked May's sister and I liked Dev. There was some funny parts in this book which helped and the plot was okay. I wish there would have been more romance. Over all an okay book. I will most likely read the next book in this series to see if it gets better.

"One more. Come on-you can do it. Push it!" "I already did one more!" I huff and puff as the weights dangle from my limp arms. Everything burns. Everything. Even my butt muscles are on fire. "You aren't tapped out. Come on-I see one more in your eyes. Lift." "What you see in my eyes is a death threat."

Spiral of Need

Book Review of Spiral Of Need (The Mercury Pack Series)

Title: Spiral Of Need

Series: The Mercury Pack Series

Author: Suzanne Wright

Date Published:    September 29th 2015

Date Read: September 13, 2015

The Blurb:
Ally Marshall isn’t just a wolf shifter — she’s a Seer.

But a girl doesn’t exactly need special powers to know that Derren Hudson despises her entire kind. Disdain practically rolls off the Beta of the Mercury Pack . . . disdain mixed with a healthy dose of desire. And no matter how much the ruggedly handsome male appeals to her, this is one call of the wild she’s determined to ignore.

After one betrayal too many, Derren doesn’t have much use for Seers — except for Ally.

Forced into acting as her protector, he finds himself intensely and passionately drawn to the woman who incites his primal instinct to claim.

And when enemies target the pack, Ally’s gift may be just what the Mercury Pack needs.

Can he put his distrust aside, or will he force himself to turn his back on the one woman who makes his inner beast howl?

My Review

4 "I said that out loud, huh." Stars

"I'm just making my point that I don't trust Seers." Ally smiled gently. "Admitting your problem is the first step to recovery."

"You need to seriously rethink defying me." "And guys need to stop shoving their hands down their pants to play with their balls in public." Ally shook her head. "Some things will never change."

So Suzanne Wright is one of my favorite authors, and I love her series The Phoenix Pack. So when I heard she was doing a spin off series called The Mercury Pack, which is the new pack Nick Axton (3rd book in The Phoenix Pack series) formed with his mate, I was like Hell yeah I am so there!! Spiral of Need is the first book in the Mercury Pack series, and it is a awesome start to what I am sure with be a great series. I can't tell you how excited I got when I saw it was on NetGalley. I so did a freak out fan girl dance.

Ally, on the other hand, wanted to ask why the hell Bracken had let Jesse win. When all eyes zoomed in on her, she smiled weakly. "I said that out loud, huh,"

"Your scent.... It makes me want to bite you."

What this book is about

Derren Hudson, Beta of the Mercury Pack always keeps his word. So when an old friend Cain calls in a favor Derren feels obligated to do it. Cain wants Derren to go get Ally Marshall from the pack she is in now that is giving her problems, and take her to The Mercury pack, and keep her under Derren's protection until Cain can get to her. The problem with that is Ally is a Seer and Derren Hates all Seers. Seers have hurt him and his pack and he doesn't trust any of them. Derren feeling that he owes Cain, goes to get Ally despite his feelings towards Seers. When he sees her not only does he want her, but his wolf is going crazy wanting to mark her. Derren feels angry about the whole situation, and confused about him and his wolf's attraction to Ally. When Ally starts having visions about danger coming to the Mercury Pack will Derren believe her or will he let his prejudice of Seers keep him from protecting his pack?

"Understand this, Ally. There is very little I consider an obstacle when I want something. And when I want something as badly as I want you, I won't let anything or anyone keep me from it. I marked you, and I don't consider that a small thing. Do you?"

"No. You like me pinning you down." It was a taunt that made her growl. "And you like me fucking you hard, don't you, baby? You like having my cock in you."

I love both Derren and Ally. Derren is broody, serious, and loyal to those who he cares about. Derren has been hurt badly, and deeply by his family and pack so he doesn't trust easily. Dominant, damaged, sexy , and protective he is everything you want from an alpha male hero. Ally is kind of a wanderer. Her family and pack were assassinated when she was a small child. Her and Cain are the only two that lived. She has always felt that she didn't really belong. On top of that being a Seer with all the prejudices against Seers makes her feel more like a outcast. Even with all that has happened to her, she is still a sweet, caring woman. She is brave, protective, and saucy. Being a dominant wolf she is very independent. And lets not leave out that she is totally badass.

"I'm keeping you, Ally Marshall." And she'd just have to accept it, because he wouldn't let her go "You're mine." Startled and spooked by that very sincere announcement that almost sounded....binding, Ally didn't speak for a moment. "Yours?" "All mine. You got under my skin, became my obsession. There's no going back." She swallowed nervously. "What do you want from me?" "Everything you have to give. And I'll get it."

"You love me?" He smiled. "Fuck yeah." "I'm glad, because it's rare for one-sided relationships to work out well." His smile widened. "Is that your very poor way of telling me you love me?" "It was pretty poor, wasn't it?"

Derren and Ally are a very cute couple. They both know what it is like to be falsely accused of something horrible and have everyone they care about turn their backs on them. Their chemistry is wild and rough. Ally and Derren are a kickass team. As a couple they support each other . They know when to push and when to give in. I think they are perfect for each other. I love that with each book you get to see more of the past characters from The Phoenix Pack series. That as a reader we get to see their characters continue to grow and add on to the story line, making me feel really connected and attached to them. I enjoyed the plot and that there is a lot of action in this book. I think this book is a great read and start to the series and I can't wait to see what happens next.

"But you forgive me for baiting him, don't you baby?" He asked Ally. Not really, but she'd have him make it up to her later with multiple orgasms. Hearing Cain and her uncles growl, Ally smiled weakly at Derren. "I said that out loud, didn't I?"
